하트셉수트는 BC15세기에 이집트의 여왕 하트셉수트가 아문신을 위해 지은 신전으로

1997년 11월, 종교적 정치적 갈등이 만들어 낸 이슬라미스의 관광객을 향한 총기난사 사건으로

외국인 관광객 58명이 사살 되었던 신전이기도 하다.
